Our system allows Sales leaders to easily set business objectives and run sales programs that drive behavior by rewarding reps, every week, for making progress with deals that are important to your org.

Progress is being measured by applying Machine Learning and NLP on customer engagement signal and doesn't require high CRM hygiene or rep data entry. With our platform, you can easily define, launch, run and track any business objective from new product introduction to focus on future pipeline.

Based in San Mateo and San Francisco, SetSail was founded in Feb'18 by Machine Learning and CRM experts from Google and SugarCRM. We raised $8M from top Venture Capital firms and our product is already used by sales teams in leading organizations like Dropbox, ServiceNow, Lyft and others.

The Role

We’re hiring energetic, curious and smart Sales Development Representative for our sales team.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, You will work to prospect and generate qualified leads that will be closed in the next 2 to 4 months. You will be the first point of contact, and your ability to properly craft and tailor your message is crucial for the success of the company.
Your mission is to generate enough excitement and demand that the identified prospects want to learn more and buy!

In this role, you are going to learn sales and prospecting tactics that will help you to generate a healthy pipeline, but we also expect that you are proactive enough to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches.

We want to build a great sales environment that promotes an open and honest feedback culture.

As our first SDR, you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of the core sales team, helping us in shaping our sales culture and improve our sales processes.

What an SDR does:
- Identify the right companies and prospects according to the defined buyer personas.
- Contact those prospects and get them to agree to meet our sales and leadership team and/or show them a demo of our product.
- Be obsessed about maintaining perfect records of your prospecting activities in the CRM and other software.
- Cold calling/emailing, social selling, and any other outreach methods to get in touch with decision-makers.
- Learn more about how bleeding edge technologies such as NPL and Machine Learning can transform sales organizations.

What an SDR doesn’t:
- Get discouraged if most of the contacts don’t answer
- Avoid confrontation and sharing negative/positive experiences with others
- Bring a negative attitude

What we expect in the next 9-12 months:
- SDR to crush the quota every month
- Learn from experienced enterprise software leaders
Have a ton of fun scaling a business together

SDR ideal profile:
- 1-2 years of experience as an SDR for a SaaS startup
- Passion for sales, analytics, NLP, and machine learning
- Highly coachable
- Energetic
- Willing to take risks
- Organized
- Bachelor’s degree

Salary structure:
Base + Quota Bonus + Uncapped Sales Commission
