LOCATION: Palo Alto, California
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Director, Sales Development

SUMMARY: We are looking for a Sales Development Associate ideally with experience providing sales administration support in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. The individual will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, supporting the growth of current customers and supporting the BD/Sales/Marketing efforts of the organization.



ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Providing support to the global Marketing, Business Development and Sales teams, for tasks including, but not limited to:
* Cold calling/emailing and lead generation
* Market analysis, such as identifying potential new clients
* Overseeing and utilizing subscription data sources, (eg, Hoovers.com (hoovers.com) , DiscoverOrg, Zymewire, Data.com (data.com) )
* Collaborating with internal team members to organize current account engagement (including onsite customer  event, seminars, etc.)

* Providing overall sales administration support, for tasks including, but not limited to:
* Monitoring CRM (Salesforce.com (salesforce.com) ) to ensure accurate, up-to-date information; and coordinating updates as  needed. Experience with Salesforce preferred. 
* Supporting the creation and maintenance of CRM views and account owners
* Assisting with creation and dissemination of sales materials as directed
* Coordinating meeting logistics, such as travel arrangements as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of earned Bachelor’s degree and one or more years experience in pharmaceutical industry or CRO industry a plus
* 6 months - 1 year of sales development experience
* Detail- and service-oriented, hard-working, diligent and resilient 
* Experience with Salesforce.com (salesforce.com) or similar Client Relationship Management tool
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships
* Strong organizational management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly and concisely present information
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
* Proficiency in all MS-Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
