Systems Software Engineer (Remote Only)

We are looking for a technically savvy C++ developer who is ready to take charge. You will be joining a small team helping build an innovative product for the electronic design and automation industry.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of software life-cycle including analysis, design, implementation and testing of software modules
• Participate in brainstorming sessions
• Peer review code and provide constructive feedback
• Architect, design, implement, and maintain multiple products
• Write clean, understandable, robust, and maintainable code
• Architect efficient and reusable front-end abstractions that drive complex features
• Create and write test cases to exercise and validate implementation
• Analyze collected user telemetry data to infer bottlenecks and suggest improvements

Core Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in C & C++ (preferrably 14 or higher)
• Working knowledge of Qt and related tools for Frontend UI design
• Demonstrable experience in hardware design languages including VHDL, Verilog and System Verilog
• Familiarity with tools from vendors including Cadence, Synopsis, and Mentor Graphics highly desirable
• Working knowledge of scripting languages including Python, Perl, and Lua
• Above average proficiency in mathematics
• Demonstrated capability in applying best software development practices
• Past experience with ANTLR or bison/flex is a huge plus
• Experience designing and implementing custom APIs with well designed interfaces and abstractions
• Experience with data collection (telemetry) and data analysis (including tools like Tableau)
• Experience using Git
• Willing to step out of comfort zone and experiment
• Excellent communication, decision making skills and strong time management
• Comfortable coordinating and working with remote team members
• Be prepared to share implementation of some of your best work
