Senior Backend Developer£60k – £80k

ROLI is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to lead the development of ROLI’s websites and APIs.
As Senior Backend Developer at ROLI, you will be part of the Web Team and dedicated to maintaining and constantly improving our online experiences.
Working in a company with bold ambitions, and the calibre of talent required to deliver them, offers a unique opportunity to define and build the future platforms needed to elevate ROLI onto the global stage.
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a disruptive category of music making devices we are creating called ‘Connected Music’ - a network of hardware and software, platform and developer products that will revolutionise how music is made.
What you’ll do:
-Lead the backend development for ROLI on our Node.js / React stack
-Work closely with developers and designers to ensure and improve coherence, consistency and general excellence across our codebase and websites
-Be actively involved in developing the back-end infrastructure and integrations that keep our websites running
-Work with stakeholders across ROLI to create and deploy new platform features
-Be a mentor to others through code reviews, encouragement and pair programming
What you’ll need:
-Advanced Node.js, API and database architecture
-A high bar for code quality and automated tests and continuous delivery
-Competent with SQL and NoSQL databases
-An ability to work autonomously and independently
-Excellent communication skills
-Superb and demonstrable time-management skills and the ability to work independently
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
-Experience with MongoDB
-Familiarity with authentication systems (JWT, OAuth)
