The candidate will:
Responsible for the delivery of key services within our Managed Services
Technical support, engineering and deployment of RiverSafe portfolio of technologies.
Actively participate in service and process management meetings.
Maintain & develop secure infrastructure services on Windows & Linux Server estates.
Providing up-keep and monitoring of infrastructure systems to continue delivering high quality systems.
Good working knowledge of Windows Servers as well as Linux administration with the knowledge and ability to manage Active Directory, create policies and Permissions on both platforms.
VMWare and Cloud infrastructure setup and support
Direct involvement with clients to gather requirements and deliver top quality service.
Knowledge of operating systems and networking fundamentals (Cisco networking qualifications are bonus).
Practical and theoretical awareness about information security, data protection & big data analytics.
Knowledge of both the Unix and Windows operating systems; must be comfortable on the command line interface.
Basic programming and scripting skills (Python/Perl, Bash, RegEx, JS).
Work experience of network, systems administration and 1st/2nd line user support is bonus.
Experience of producing technical documentation and reports.
Strong problem solving skills.
Personal projects in computer sciences domain are huge bonus.
Firewall, Snort/Sourcefire or Splunk experience
Solid communication skills and expertise to translate technical jargon into business familiar language.
Ability to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how these relate to the customer’s business.
Able to quickly understand and interpret customer problems and navigate complex organisations
Ability to stop to listen and collaborate with technical and non-technical consumers from IT administrators to executive level stakeholders
Self-motivated and self-educating, yet willing and able to work collaboratively with both customers and fellow RiverSafe consultants
Well organized with a healthy sense of urgency, able to set; communicate; and meet aggressive deadlines with competing priorities
Demonstrable understanding of common enterprise applications (especially in the areas of security and finance)
Ability & flexibility to travel within EMEA
BSc (MSc preferred) in computer science, cyber-security or a related field including engineering, mathematics, and other STEM subjects
Industry security certifications are a bonus.
