The Role

Looking forward, setting operations right and scaling up is our top priority, and to achieve it we need a Technical Product Manager/Owner (TPM) to take ownership of the apps in the long-term, and get our IT and related operations running smoothly. The TPM will use collaborative leadership to maximize the output of the IT team by implementing and then leading some type of agile/scrum/DevOps (TPM’s choice) framework including prioritization of the backlog and optimizing team output.

The TPM will work closely with company stakeholders in analyzing business issues, defining requirements, testing product functionality, supporting regular releases, client implementations, and IT systems analysis.

*The TPM must be willing to and capable of spending time in person in the office translating end user needs, and managerial vision, into technical requirements to lead the IT team. In the beginning, to facilitate knowledge transfer, the TPM will be primarily in-house. Over time as the TPM and team find a good rhythm, the TPM may increasingly work remotely.

Specific Responsibilities
● Work closely with business stakeholders, executives, and technical personnel to understand the product scope and objectives.
● Determine operational objectives, gather information, and evaluate output requirements.
● Work with Management in managing the project’s scope, and acceptance, and ensure qualitative and timely deliverables are met.
● Plan and monitor progress of project deliverables and milestones, and process and track project status and change requests.
● Lead collaboration, facilitate sprint activities, and work with the offshore tech lead in developing, managing, and prioritizing the product backlog.
● Help implement tech solutions in a cost-effective way.
● Construct workflows/charts/diagrams, write system & application-level requirements.
● Write improved procedures and recommend controls for identified problems.
● Drive ongoing improvements in product health, operational practices, tools, and processes.
● Support product personnel on client implementations and configuration, as needed.
