Respia is a medical device startup company focused on preventative asthma care through predictive wearable technologies. Respia is looking for a CTO and Lead Engineer to join our team.

You will be working in a dynamic hybrid role working with programming languages developing state of the art software and firmware for Respia medical devices.
Experience in wearables and medical device commercialization desirable. Experience in working in a startup desirable.

Respia is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead in (1) software development and (2) circuit design.

1. Software Development Technical Skills
-Highly proficient working with c/c++
-Experience using machine learning in real world applications
-Experience producing safety critical code
-Experience using MATLAB

2. Circuit design Technical Skills
-Experience procuring and assembling PCBs and components
-Experience optimising prototype boards for manufacture
-Experience using Altium

About You
You are an excellent communicator providing daily progress reports always keeping an open dialogue with your team and cofounders. A team player, brand ambassador, promoter and above all a supportive cofounder.
Genuine passion for improving healthcare for chronic respiratory conditions. Not afraid to challenge the gold standard and improve it. Design thinking skills are a must. Works to project plan and deadlines.

Travel when necessary interstate and overseas for up to three months to participate in accelerator programs.

Tertiary Qualifications
Completed undergraduate degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electronics, biomedical, software engineering.
Postgraduates/PhD welcome to apply.

Remuneration equity package may be discussed in interview.
