Role Summary:

The Director of Social Media and Advertising, reporting directly into the VP of Client Success, will lead
the social media strategy, ideation and execution of social media advertising campaigns on behalf of our
key clients.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic and analytical social media expert who is a self-starter, has a
proven track record of driving performance results and possesses in-depth knowledge of Facebook
advertising.The right candidate will be “social first’ in their thinking, understanding that brands must
engage their own audiences effectively before they can scale brand storytelling. If you can help us level

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of our online advertising strategy and analysis for our clients.
• Recommend customer segmentation, media tactics and campaign measurement and optimization.
• P & L ownership for our online advertising business.
• Contribute to new business efforts including proposals, research and pitching.
• Closely evaluate creative to ensure work is aligned and achieving media goals.
• Lead advertising program budgets and monitor client expenditures.
• Lead key biddable social media programs and manage all tactical aspects of running campaigns.
• Drive data-driven analysis and insights to improve campaign effectiveness and value to the business.
• Lead the ad user experience with testing and optimizations (i.e. ad creative, ad placement, landing page experience, conversion forms, post-conversion relationship, A/B and multivariate testing, etc.).
• Partner with cross-functional teams for integrated campaign program development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• 10 years’ experience in digital strategy & social media within a marketing organization, leading agency, or leading media/social technology organization. (At least 5 years including team management and staff leadership.)
• Significant experience in digital marketing & social media technology, strategy, and execution.
• Experience with social listening tools, social management platforms, and digital media technologies.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment, executing long-term strategies and responding and reacting real-time adjustments.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Polished demeanor with clients, vendors, and publishers.
• Experience identifying meaningful, actionable insights within past successful social media campaigns.
• Biddable platforms experience to acquire target audience at scale with efficiency; Experience using mobile tracking and attribution methodologies (e.g., AdWords, DoubleClick, Google
• Analytics, 3rd party digital and mobile ad serving and tracking platforms.)
• Experience with Facebook Advertising and Facebook Ad Manager.
• Experience in forecasting and managing to forecast; Demonstrable technical skills with a strong point of view on how to leverage the channels at your disposal to exceed your campaign goals.
• Proven track record of using biddable media to acquire, engage, and nurture users throughout the funnel.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, business acumen and proven ability to create senior management-level presentations.
