Product Researchers at RealtimeBoard collaborate with the distributed team of Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and Engineers. Their job is to own and drive research projects from start to finish.
Our main product focus are product teams of different sizes which are using RealtimeBoard for agile development, design thinking, UX research and design and other activities. We are looking for a researcher who is excited about using strategic research to identify what workflows our customers have, what problems they are facing with and ensure that our products are designed in a way that’s intuitive and easy to use.
Researcher is involved at every stage in the product design process from understanding the initial problems our customers have, through to evaluation of new concepts and prototypes with customers, right through to the evaluation of products post-launch. RealtimeBoard is a company with a customer-centric approach, and research plays a key role in the process of product design and development. Hence, this position offers a great opportunity to influence product features and strategy.
The main job of Product researcher at RealtimeBoard is communicate with customers (online and in person), research their workflows and find patterns that Product team can implement into RealtimeBoard:
— Get insights on customers needs using various research methods and provide recommendations for improvement
— Collect and analyze user behavior through ethnography, interviews, surveys, benchmark studies, and online experiments (A/B testing).
— Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other team members to prioritize research opportunities
— Understand and incorporate technical and business requirements into research
— Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations
— Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to make product decisions and contribute to product roadmap
— Design user flows and user scenarios to provide the best customer experience
Required skills & experience:
— BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science or other related fields or equivalent practical experience
— At least 3 years of relevant experience
— Experience conducting semi-structured interviews, contextual field visits, usability studies either live or remote (e.g. usertesting.com).
— Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices
— Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, PM and design
— Experience in rapid prototyping and usability measurement
— Expertise in design thinking and UX fundamental including: strategy, research, usability, interaction design, and visual design
— A quick learner, self-motivated, ambitious, and detail-oriented
— Excellent communication skills
