We are seeking a Social Media Community Manager to grow, support and energize our growing platform . Reach is built around topic-specific groups from which friendships emerge. You will act as the cruise director, geek squad, and small-town sheriff for these digital gatherings, ensuring each member has a positive, rewarding, and compelling experience.
In addition, you will help us grow the platform by interacting with potential users on other social platforms and helping us craft fandom-specific advertising campaigns to attract new friends for our existing user base.
This would be the perfect job for a recent liberal arts graduate with strong analytical skills or someone with a few years of focused social media experience at a larger company looking for broader responsibility and a chance to immerse themselves fully in the social startup culture. Our office is in downtown San Francisco, steps from the Powell St BART. Local candidates will prioritized, but we are open to applicants in the Pacific and Mountain time zones. This role will receive a salary, benefits, and equity. You will report to the CEO.
Answer questions, solicit feedback, and generally help our members find each other.
Manage member notification and messaging process.
Administrate retention and engagement programs.
Identify and address controversial content and interactions.
Interact with existing and prospective users on other social platforms.
Craft messaging and imagery for new recruitment campaigns, then upload to ad platforms.
Ideate new mechanisms for driving user interactions.
Experience and confidence in social media environments.
Broad interests and life experiences to better connect with our diverse user base.
Strong written and spoken communication skills, both formal and informal.
Structured and organized thinker, able to document and iterate processes.
Proficient with excel and image editing tools.
