Mechanical Design Engineer (Micromechanical Engineering) [Contractor]$1k – $10k
Radiance is looking for a mechanical engineering (Micromechanical Design) contractor!
1 month contract. Payment based on work completion
*Must have the ability to do the work
*Must be local to Charlotte
*Must be a U.S. Citizen
*6+ years of experience with mechanical engineering with a concentration in micromechanical engineering
*Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
*Defines and Executes design validation and characterization from prototype bring-up to product testing
*Own the mechanical engineering design of the overall system, both with internal mechanisms and external mechanisms
*Develops designs and processes with external vendors, acting as product development technical liaison among vendors
*Define mechanical and performance requirements for fit, quality, and reliability.
*Identify open mechanical design issues and drive them to closure.
*Deliver the necessary design documents and data for engineering builds and initial ramp.
*Experience developing micromechanical designs for reliable products
*3D software expertise: Solidworks, Inventor, etc. (Must have your own software installed)
*Familiarity with multiple manufacturing techniques such as injection-molding, machining, die-cutting, etc. and materials such as plastics, metals, etc.
