Radar (radar.io) is the location context platform. Our mission is to make every app on every device contextually aware.

Radar is defining a new category of developer platform. If Stripe is for payments and Twilio is for communications, Radar is for location.

Radar processes 100B+ locations per year from 100M devices worldwide. In April 2018, TechCrunch named us a top 12 up-and-coming enterprise startup in NYC (techcrunch.com/gallery/up-and-coming-enterprise-startups-in-nyc).

Our team has backgrounds at companies like Foursquare and Facebook. We are backed by Accel, Two Sigma, Expa, Heavybit, Fuel Capital, and great angels including Greg Brockman (previously CTO at Stripe).

We're based in DUMBO, Brooklyn, New York City.

Radar is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to design, build, and distribute our iOS SDK (github.com/radarlabs/radar-sdk-ios) and sample apps. You'll also work in other parts of our stack (frontend, backend, Android), since the best way to work on a customer-facing feature is sometimes to build the entire surface area across Android, iOS, frontend and backend.

The Radar SDK abstracts away the challenges and cross-platform differences of location services on iOS and Android, allowing developers to add location context and tracking to their apps with just a few lines of code.

We're already installed on 100M+ devices, processing 100B+ locations per year, and growing rapidly. We need to deliver a world-class (think Stripe-like) experience for developers. You'll face interesting product design and scaling challenges from day one.

You will:
- Work on the Radar iOS SDK, built with Objective-C, and contribute to the architecture roadmap going forward
- Own the Radar iOS sample apps, built with Swift
- Work on other parts of the Radar tech stack: iOS, frontend, and backend
- Push the limits of Core Location on iOS
- Distribute and evangelize the SDK, including the sample code and documentation that goes with them
- Take new features from conception to shipped product

We're looking for someone:
- With 5+ years of mobile engineering experience (Objective-C and Swift experience required, bonus if you have deep experience with Core Location)
- Bonus if you have worked at a early stage startup before
- With experience building SDKs
- Who is independent and self-motivated (bonus if you've built side projects and/or contributed to open source)
- Who is a great writer and communicator (bonus if you've written technical documentation or blog posts before)
- Who is passionate about location and developer platforms
- Who wants to work full-time in New York City

Perks include:
- Medical, dental, and vision plans
- Flexible work hours and vacation policy
- Commuter benefits and free Citi Bike membership
- Competitive salary
- Equity in a fast-growing startup
