Quill.org is hiring our first salesperson, our Director of Sales, to lead our organization's K-12 edtech sales efforts. Quill.org's online writing tools are now being used by more than 5,000 schools across the United States, and you will lead efforts to turn inbound leads into partnerships with schools currently using our service.

Your primary responsibilities at Quill.org will be contacting school administrators, explaining Quill’s impact on student writing, and closing new sales. Over the course of the year, you will serve as the primary point of contact for administrators. As Quill increases its sales revenue, you will help us hire and manage new sales and marketing staff members.

== Responsibilities ==

- Reach quota through closing individual sales with new school partners.
- Manage our CRM and track all new sales.
- Work with one staff member, our outreach associate, who will assist with email communications, marketing, implementation, and CRM management.
Coordinate professional development implementation with two curriculum leaders, who will conduct PD sessions.
- Attend conferences and events to promote Quill’s writing intervention and close new sales.

== Required Experience ==

3+ Years of K-12 Sales Experience
You have spent at least three years working in a full-time sales role at an education company and know how to close new sales with administrators and principals. As Quill’s only salesperson, you will be speaking with hundreds of education leaders, and we are looking for a candidate who deeply understands this space.

== Preferred Background ==

ELA Teaching Experience
You have taught English or Social Studies to students, and you can speak to the best practices for teaching writing.

Inside Sales Experience
You have worked at SaaS technology company and have experience conducting insides sales to upsell free users to a premium service.

== Compensation ==
- Base salary of $80,000 to $100,000
- Significant commission based on reaching quota.
