Senior Environmental Officer

Role & Responsibilities

Senior Environmental Officer is responsible for the overall corporate environmental strategy including plan and team development, internal and vendor audits, issue ID and resolution management/problem solving. This role reports directly to the CEO.

Plan and undertake audits in the following areas:

Environmental impact audits, Waste facility compliance audits, Environmental Management Systems, Environmental due diligence, Internal & Vendor Compliance audits

Waste Management
Integrated waste management plans (IWMPs)
Recycling and waste minimization strategies, Cradle to Grave Product Analysis, Internal and Vendor Waste feasibility assessments

Staff Management
Management of projects according to internal ISO9001 system
Management of project finances including budgets, invoicing and co-consultant payments

Mentorship Activities
On-going mentoring of interns in the following areas
Technical skills development, Project management skills, Environmental legislation and processes, Problem solving with critical thinking, Report writing, Interpretation of scientific data

Business Development
Facilitate growth of the business in the disciplines throughout supply chain.

Requirements
A Degree in Environmental science, Waste management or Environmental management
Extensive understanding of product lifecycle impact is required.
Understating of energy (fossil and renewable) generation and storage is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in environmental consulting with the following roles: Environmental auditing, Waste management, Team Development, Problem Resolution.

Excellent interpersonal skills, Project & Team management skills
Fluent English and Mandarin are Mandatory
