Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a high energy, creative, scrappy, results oriented Content Marketer who recognizes that content with "empty calories" just isn't worth the SEO bump. You believe the saying "We are drowning in information and starved of knowledge". You can take our vision of a world where "anyone can work for themselves and make a great living" and turn it into content that is unique, value-added, actionable, and entertaining. You recognize that researching, writing, and editing brilliant content is only a fraction of the goal. Getting it read, shared, and referenced in a way that makes a real difference in people's everyday lives is the main event.

You have a network of freelance writers who are brilliant, dependable and would go to the wall for you. You recognize that time is of the essence. We are looking to create, publish, and promote a lot of great content in a short amount of time that will fundamentally change the way anyone with talent and time thinks about how they can both be independent and make a good living.

Role Type
This is a full time position that starts as a 30-day contractor role. If it is a fit on both sides, you'll join full time. We are open to structuring something that works with the right candidate.

What will you be doing?
- Creating a content library, calendar, and editorial framework
- Writing, publishing, and promoting the first 100 long-form content pieces in the series within the first 30 days
- Recruiting a network of freelancers to "rinse and repeat"
- Tracking content views, shares, references, subscribers, and conversions
- Leveraging our data and insights and great research to answer the question on 9 out of 10 worker's minds - "How can I work for myself and make a great living as a...?"

Are there any requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Track record of cost effectively creating and editing well researched, written, and read content
- 3+ years of content marketing experience
- Mobile marketing background [a plus]
- Payments, SaaS, and fintech knowledge and interest [a plus]
- Prior experience working in a startup environment
- No one (reasonable) you know would describe you as an asshole.
- Everyone you've worked closely with would rank you in their top 5
- You should be able to ace our basic technical interview [no puzzles, no tricks]
- You sleep when we all #win
- You're not into shiny new things and TechCrunch headlines
- You are all about building systems that create real value for real people - over the long term
- The details matter to you [polished design and copy, alignment across brand assets] and you take lots of pride in your work.
