PINION - "Tinder for Politics meets Wikipedia for Public Opinion"
Web/Front End Developer, Software Engineer - Equity OpportunityNo salary • 0.0% – 10.0%
The Pinion team is a small group of motivated professionals who believe in the power of public opinion to improve civic engagement, democracy, and make our world better. Our tech team is building a new platform - web and mobile – to make our engagement with government and other organizations better. We are seeking a tech professional with leadership and management experience to plan, contribute, and support our project and team members.
Technical - Currently focused on finding web front end development talent. We are seeking systems/network IT professionals who can help us use the Microsoft stack currently and potentially other tools in the future to advance our software - skilled with and knowledgeable about the Microsoft development stack including Windows, Azure, IIS, Azure DevOps, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core development, SQL Server, Entity Framework.
Team - We are looking for team players who are motivated, independent, friendly and professional. Our tech team is small; currently 5-6, so you'll need to fit in. We prefer someone who has experience supporting a small, flexible development team (scrum/agile) building network and systems infrastructure including Windows domains, Active Directory and Azure.
Engaged - We are looking for someone who wants to take on a challenge and who can reliably contribute to help us meet development milestones and business objectives. Our team is remote across the North America (mostly West coast), but we expect to eventually grow with virtual members globally. If you are looking for something big and meaningful to do, consider building your skill set with us.
A good fit - We are “pre-money/pre-revenue” so NOT yet paying any salaries or spending money on outside vendors.
We are all working for equity – using the “Slicing Pie” methodology to track our contributions to the business (https://slicingpie.com/). An ideal candidate should be self-sufficient, interested in our technology and mission, and comfortable with our early stage, “boot strapping” startup status. It could be bumpy ride, but it should be a fun one!
