Ping builds automation tools for professional services. We’re starting by automating timekeeping for the world’s largest enterprises and then using that data to transform the way these industries price, operate and work. Professionals won’t just use our system to manage their time but to create it. And we need your help.

As our VP of Engineering, you will help lead a high-growth, enterprise SaaS company. Over the last three-plus years, our time and billing system has created a massive pull from the enterprise legal market (a $2B+ ARR opportunity). We will then replicate this pull from the largest market segment in the US (the $3.2TN professional services industry). We have already garnered interest from some of the largest accounting and consulting firms in the world.

We are now looking for the right technical leader to manage and grow an engineering organization capable of satisfying this demand. We are presenting a unique opportunity to build a product for a defined, proven, and mature market, while also giving you complete autonomy to shape our engineering philosophy, processes, and culture to drive world-class product building.

We are looking for a Vice President of Engineering capable of up-leveling our engineering organization. You will come in and manage our current team of 10 full-stack and AI engineers and have control in structuring and running your team the way you want. You will then recruit and hire a team that will double in size over the next 12 months.

Ultimately, you will be accountable for the successful development and on-time delivery of a high-quality product.

Your main spheres of responsibility will include:
- Manage the continuous delivery of an increasingly stable, reliable, and scalable product
- Organize, structure, and manage the engineering team
- Identify, recruit, close and retain top technical talent
- We are looking for someone with extensive software engineering and management experience and has:

- Proven ability to lead high-performing engineering teams in a management capacity
- Experience leading team of 30+ engineers and managers, both local and distributed
- Proven ability to recruit top technical talent
- Ability to uphold code quality standards, demonstrated through passion about software craftsmanship
- First hand experience in building and scaling client-side software for large enterprise clients (up to 250K+ user base at some clients)

Not required but nice to haves would be:
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other STEM area
Windows development experience
- Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB and C# (.NET, WPF)
- Ability to oversee an AI/ML department
- Familiar with the OWASP top 10 and knowledge of security processes as it relates to the software development lifecycle (Known as Security Development Lifecycle).
- Experience developing, automating, managing or driving security-related requirements or measurements to a SDL within a small to medium sized company

You will report directly to the CEO and be a member of the senior leadership team. You’ll work very closely with our Head of Product and Head of Deployment, and be instrumental in driving and impacting the overall strategic direction of the company.
