Imagine knowing which TV programs attract what type of audience or knowing which product placements had the most impact on viewers last night. Pilotly is the first research platform builty for creative content.

Conducting content studies regularly, Pilotly Market Insights (PMI) measures viewers engagement with as many programs as possible to develop research norms that will help us in understand viewer engagement with a variety of creative content, product placements and market promotions.

We are growing and looking for a Research Lead to join our team as we pave the path for our internal research practice. This position will be responsible for managing client research, data, questionnaires, panelists recruiting and data synthesis. You’ll work on research projects with our internal and external viewer teams, prepare data reports, make suggestions for future client needs and have direct communication with our clients, helping to ensure successful project executions.

==Responsibilities==
-Create in-depth research analyses through hands-on exploration of our databases; decide on the correct analytic approach(es)

-Oversee preparation and review of reports, decide the best way to present the data within a power point format

-Work to create new research solutions through technology, such as automated reporting, by coordinating with our CTO and data science team

-Initiate discussion / raise questions when elements of the data are inconsistent with prior findings or expectations

-Gain larger understanding of media entertainment space and recommend ways to best incorporate research findings with client business needs

-Participate in panelists recruitment strategy, helping to build a diverse panel of viewers for future research screenings


==Qualifications==

- BA/BS preferably in social sciences, market research, statistics, marketing or economics

- 3 years or more experience in primary research using statistical methods to arrive at overarching insights

- Knowledge of television and advertising

- Ability to own and lead a client presentation with minimal senior support/supervision

- Very strong quantitative, data tabulation, analytic thinking and data mining skills

- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite of products

- Knowledge of databases (MySQL and Mongo)

- Excellent skills with Google Docs is a plus
