The individual hired for this position will be responsible for the system-level design of launch vehicle structures. This position requires analysis of the dynamics and loads during ascent and descent, including aerothermodynamics, structural stresses and other factors. The end goal is to have an extremely mass-optimized vehicle of which the first stage is capable of re-entry, recovery and re-use. The start date for this position is June 2020, with remote work prior to then and compensation in the form of company equity. Applicants should plan for the possibility of remote work into late summer due to the ongoing challenges from COVID-19. Finally, we are in the process of establishing up new facilities which may require relocation to the U.S. East Coast or Southwest later this year.
