POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for performing duties that assist the Senior Accountants and Controller in day-to-day core accounting functions taking ownership of key areas. Core areas include data entry, accounts payable, Bill.com sync error resolutions, matching of transactions in QuickBooks, reconciliations, assisting in month-end close duties, 1099 processing, record organization and retention, and other tasks as assigned. The Accountant works closely with other finance team staff as well as other Peerfit team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Accounts Payable operation duties. These duties include but not limited to: ensuring that vendors are paid timely and accurately, W-9’s are attained for all vendors, invoices are coded with the appropriate GL and department codes, invoices and other documentation saved in Google Drives in the appropriate location, additional tasks related to AP as assigned by the Controller.
Responsible for Studio (Wellness Solutions Partner Gyms) Accounts Payable. These duties include but not limited to:
Ensuring Bill.com studio vendors are set up timely and accurately with appropriate documentation, maintain and ensure organization of all W-9’s
Answer questions from studios on payment status and other Bill.com questions
Ensure Bill.com payments are being processed timely and accurately
Review outstanding bills
Resolve sync errors in Bill.com and reach out to appropriate team on how to resolve
Monitor expiring/expiring checks and work with appropriate team to resolve
Responsible for daily bank activity review, matching of activity relating to Accounts Payable within QuickBooks.
Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
Assist Senior Accountants in performing month-end close duties. These duties could include but not limited to:
Bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, payroll liability reconciliations, Bill.com reconciliations, and other month end close research and reconciliations that may be needed.
Record journal entries and conduct thorough account reconciliations
Assist Senior Accountants and Controller by providing information for audit inquiries during yearly audit that relate to Accountant duties.
Assist Senior Accountants in year end 1099 reporting and documentation under guidance of Controller.
Organize permanent records in logical folders/ subfolders on Google Drive, ensuring all required documentation is saved timely with appropriate naming convention.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of internal controls through departmental work instructions and procedures.
Provide basic accounting support to internal customers by answering questions and researching data.
Handle sensitive data and information with a high degree of confidentiality.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
A minimum of 2 years experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
Quickbooks Online (QBO) experience preferred
Bill.com experience preferred
Located in Central or Eastern Time zone required
Experience with G-Suite Productivity Tools i.e. Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc. strongly preferred
