Enterprise Account Executive

Particle is hiring an Enterprise Account Executive to help accelerate the growth of the most widely used Internet of Things software platform in the market.

Our revenue is in the millions and the ecosystem around our platform has grown to include over 150,000 developers, which means we have relationships with a majority of the Fortune 1000. The Internet of Things is a rapidly evolving space and our customers, both current and potential, are looking not just for a platform but strategic partnership and thought leadership from solution providers. In short, the opportunity is immense and the problems our customers face are challenging.

We are looking for intelligent, motivated sales professionals who can help our customers, both current and potential, solve their most strategic problems. You will be an earlier member of our sales team, so ideal candidates will be comfortable with ambiguity and look at it as an exciting opportunity to help iterate on our constantly evolving sales process.

Responsibilities

* Manage a complex sales process and successfully close large, multi-year engagements encompassing hardware, software and cloud solutions
* Create and execute business plans to achieve annual and quarterly sales goals
* Understand prospective customers’ business models, uncover their challenges, build an opportunity development plan, and efficiently coordinate internal resources to close
* Partner with sales development to create opportunities
* Deliver accurate forecasts and create reports/dashboards in SFDC
* Develop and nurture your book of business through prospecting and regular customer visits 

Requirements

** 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in hardware
** Experience identifying and navigating multiple stakeholders across different departments and seniority levels
** Ability to preserve a high level of energy and persistence throughout 6-18 month sales cycles
** Superior written and verbal skills, and the ability to craft and deliver presentations that engage both technical and business audiences

Preferred

* Track record of top performance in a quota carrying role
* Background in technology and platform solutions such as application development, database, business intelligence, integration
* Demonstrated ability to sell large scale and complex systems
* Experience working at a high-growth stage start up
