Student Program Manager - Marketing & Business Development$8k – $15k • No equity
Paragon One scales real work and experiential learning between companies, schools, and students. Our product, Remote Externships, are alternatives to internships that provide better access and flexibility for students while taking only 1 hour of manager time from companies each week to facilitate. We are a graduate of YCombinator and are backed by Foundation Capital, Learn Capital, and University Ventures.
We are looking for part-time program managers with a passion for education and career training. They will be responsible for coaching and managing the experience of students working on business development and marketing projects for remote externship partner companies. Candidates should ideally have experience in business development, lead generation, or content marketing. Bonus for candidates with start-up or non-profit experience.
Candidates should have strong project management, communication, and team building skills. Experience with coaching is a plus.
Please note that given we are an early stage startup, we can provide hourly pay for coaching sessions ($45/hour) completed with students and hourly pay for virtual Teaching Assistant work ($15/hour). We can also provide recommendations/references as well as OPT for international students.
Work closely with Director of Coaching Opeartions to own the student experience
Mentor, guide, and monitor student performance on a weekly basis
Moderate student discussions with company leadership
Recommend and implement program improvements
Develop and enhance training resources to support the product experience
Strong verbal and communication skills
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Able to work independently and be a self-starter who takes initiative
Willingness to be flexible with a great attitude
Completed a Bachelors and enrolled in (or recently completed) a Masters Degree.
Experience with professional business communication
Experience with video conferencing software like Zoom, BlueJeans, or GoTo Meeting
Personal access to reliable technology and a stable wifi connection
Personal interest in mentorship, life and career coaching
Experience in marketing, digital marketing, or SEO content
Experience with sales, business development, or recruitment
Experience managing programs, students, or volunteers
Desire to work in and understand a start-up company
