Outernets marries both the online and offline environments by taking the best aspects from each space to create a much more complete and satisfying customer experience, also known as Phygital. We solve the “last-mile” customer engagement and analytics problem, enabling retailers, landlords and brands, to offer a channel agnostic unified customer experience, using a platform built on artificial intelligence. Phygital interface (with Vision based UX/UI) on the consumer facing side (CX), and, deep customer behavioral analytics on the backend.

We are looking for an experienced front-end developer to join our product team. The candidate should be interested in pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the browser with javascript, HTML, SVG, WebGL and other web technologies.
You probably have 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience as a web developer, UI developer, JavaScript expert, or front-end engineer either in commercial projects or open-source projects.

Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with the design team, product management, and development teams. Our product is built with AWS cloud services, Nodejs server-side applications, and Electron customer-side service app to deliver advacnced, data-driven interactive experiences to global brands.

• Write reusable code and libraries (with matching documentation) to a standard that makes it quick and easy to maintain the code in the future
• Build the most advanced interactive digital campaign editor with us
• Implementing product features based on design and produce high-quality works.
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve the usability
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies

Skills and qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• a high level of proficiency with JavaScript frameworks and React
• Advanced problem-solving skills
• Solid experience in using a complex REST API/ GraphQL API from the client-side
• Experience with building SPA (Single page applications)
• Some exposure to Continuous Integration/Delivery pipeline for cloud, including Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, etc.
• good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The following would also be a significant plus:

• some exposure to full-stack development
• Electron.js cross-platform app development experience
• WebGL / Canvas Experience
• NodeJS / express server backend experience
• Web socket application development experience
• Some Machine Learning experience e.g. Tensorflow.js, ml5 ...
• Touch Designer, Unreal node-style editor experience
• Interest in New Media, human-machine interfaces, gamification, art, design,video, animation
