We are searching for a full-time Support and Deployment Engineer whose work will help us scale our AI software products, which combine state-of-the-art perception algorithms with powerful adaptive decision-making abilities. Our products endow industrial robots with the level of autonomy needed to perform an extensive variety of useful tasks and integrate tightly with our customers’ complex software environments.

As our first dedicated Deployment Engineer you will learn the ins and outs of our product to become our in house product expert. You will be involved in all stages of customer deployment, from planning the implementation to flying on site for installation to supporting the product remotely. You will collaborate with the hardware, software, and machine learning teams to learn everything there is to know about hardware, deep learning, computer vision, motion planning, robotic control, etc. components of our product so that you are able to solve all manner of technical problems that might arise.

What You'll be Doing:
- Traveling on site to customer facilities for initial system setup, deployment, and repairs as needed (50% travel)
- Troubleshooting errors with the Osaro system remotely and on site with customer deadlines in mind. Documenting the errors for the engineering teams and pulling in additional help as needed.
- Providing any needed customer training
- Document, analyze, and refine our deployment, support, and training processes
- Create and execute Site Acceptance Tests to ensure proper installation and successful hand off to customers
- Building relationships with the customer so they feel comfortable with Osaro and the product. Passing along feedback from the customer to the Product and Engineering teams.

Experience and Skills You'll Need:
- BS in an Engineering field or equivalent experience
- Ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot complex systems in front of customers
- Working knowledge of Python and Linux
- Excellent written and verbal communication and a knack for transitioning between technical and non-technical conversations
- Passion for problem solving and a love of tinkering with mechanical or electrical systems to discover how they work
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required (we do sponsor H1B transfer)

Bonus if You:
- Have experience working in technical support
- Experience operating industrial robotic arms, grippers, PLC, and sensors including cameras, force sensors
- Speak a foreign language (Japanese preferred)
