Infrastructure System Analyst

The Omega One platform will ​provide traders, ​investors ​and ​institutions ​with ​a ​decentralized and ​automated ​trade execution ​system ​that ​intelligently ​implements ​their ​trades ​across ​the ​world's ​crypto exchanges, ​shielding ​them ​from ​counterparty ​risk ​and ​significantly reducing the transaction cost of trades. ​By radically ​increasing ​the ​liquidity ​of ​crypto ​markets, ​Omega One is ​laying ​the ​foundation ​for ​their maturation ​as ​an ​asset ​class ​and ​building ​the ​financial ​system ​of ​the ​future. By creating automated trading intelligence and managing its own balance sheet, Omega One will intermediate ​risk ​between ​its ​members ​and ​crypto ​markets.

Omega One is building the first of its kind cryptocurrency exchange trading platform for highly sophisticated cryptocurrency traders across the globe. We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Analyst to help us develop the optimal systems monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution processes and infrastructure for every stage of development, from POC to go live, and for long-term production in a highly secure, 24/7 trading environment. The Infrastructure Systems Analyst will work closely with our Product Management and Technology teams to understand the platform end to end as we create it, and develop/evolve systems monitoring and troubleshooting techniques as needed. Since we are a start-up, this role is very hands on, and the Systems Analyst will need to help with not only troubleshooting, but actual resolution.

The ideal candidate will have experience in blockchain, plus a global financial services or fintech firm working on a trading platform and on large scale, high traffic websites and applications. Ideally you will have experience in, or at least willingness to learn more about crypto assets. We are looking for analysts who are passionate about emerging business & technology models as well as working in a space full of unknowns. Responsibilities:

* Provide on site or remote access diagnoses and resolution of computer hardware and software
problems
* Monitor and manage blockchain nodes
* Supports Technology Development and Infrastructure teams by:

** Serving as a technical expert and assisting with issue troubleshooting and resolution
** Developing an integrated set of diagnostic tools and techniques over time to ensure all feeds and functions are operating properly from POC through post launch production (e.g. token smart contracts, user wallets and escrow functionality, blockchain nodes, read/write capabilities, investment engine, balance sheet manager, market data, security)
** Researching, analyzing, developing, and documenting new processes and procedures to implement new solutions to meet future problem resolution needs
** Leading in the development of processes and procedures
** Developing guidelines and upgrade techniques for new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating and network systems software, security and client server systems

* Once monitoring systems are set up, administer and implement:

** Technical support of applications and associated hardware used in a client server environment utilizing diagnostic tools
** Automated data processing systems and computer application programs

* Stay current on emerging technologies and participate in Blockchain or cryptocurrency consortiums and industry events
* Some international travel may be required

Experience/Qualifications:

* Knowledge and skill sets to install, configure, maintain and support networks
* Experience with some of the following:

** Working with Blockchain technology and decentralized systems
** Managing blockchain nodes
** Trading systems (preferably FX or cryptocurrency)
** Infrastructure architecture, data centers, servers, and networks
** Emerging technology, such as cloud computing, desktop virtualization and unified communications
** Windows and Unix Operating systems
** iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices and laptops
** Troubleshooting and support to RSA authentication or similar applications
** FLOW
** Blockchain, web and enterprise related technologies (go-ethereum/Solidity, Node.js, AngularJS, Python, Go, Rust, JSON, Javascript, RESTful web services)
** Frameworks (MVC Framework like Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Jaxb)
** Tools: Git

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excels at at working at all levels of an organization and can respond well to crises
* BS/MS in computer science, engineering or equivalent practical experience
