The Role

We are looking for a strategic and organised Head of Marketing who will have experience in D2C, e-commerce or Subscription scale-ups and be responsible for drafting our marketing strategy & executing the strategy with a detailed delivery plans.
You’ll have experience working with external agencies and will manage three internal Marketing Intern/Executives to drive our rapid scale-up plans. The role involves directly working with the co-founders in order to draft an action plan underpinned by a strategy that not just focuses on growth but also building a industry leading brand and a very strong community that loves Oddbox not just as a product but an end to end service.


Key responsibilities
Brand:
• Drive and influence the development of Oddbox brand across all channels
• Be a creative story teller, connecting people back to the food and the people who grow them
• Develop and nurture Oddbox unique tone of voice that reaches customers through every touchpoint and is in line with the company mission and strategy
• Own and further develop Oddbox content strategy across messaging, photography, video, website and other assets
• Develop and oversee management of Oddbox ‘extended team’ of agencies and partners supporting the creation of Oddbox brand look and feel
• Oversee and drive development of Oddbox PR strategy to develop Oddbox as a authoritative voice in the food waste debate
• Build out a strong corporate profile for Oddbox showcasing the company as an employer and partner
• Nurture and develop Oddbox customer community, increase brand engagement through always seeking to deliver value to customers
• Develop and oversee a best in class social media strategy to drive engagement with the brand, and spread awareness about our mission and ethos
• Oversee and drive a successful partnership programme that leverages Oddbox current success to impact society and create change to further tackle food waste


Growth:
• Contribute as part of the senior management in key decision-making about the strategic direction of the company.
• Design a D2C (Direct to consumer) marketing strategy (online and offline) that will help us meet our targets across growth, retention, brand awareness and social and environmental impact
• Identify opportunities to keep our CAC in check whilst increasing current customer lifetime value - average box value, upselling, and average monthly order
• Improve our UX. Working closely with the founders and technology team and external agencies to improve our customer experience of the platform to simplify and improve our online sales funnel
• Collate and analyse relevant data from existing data sources – SaaS platform, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, and other social media channels in order to identify gaps and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience.
• Own and develop a customer research programme
• Design and develop meaningful dashboards to monitor performance against objectives and enable deep understanding of performance to ensure issues & opportunities are quickly addressed.
• Work with the test of the marketing to create best in class content across a range of paid and non-paid mediums
• Maintain marketing budget ensure we are in line with our forecasts

Essential skills.

• You’ll have demonstrable experience (5+years) in senior marketing roles.
• You’re a natural born leader – you love leading a team and inspiring people around you with your ideas
• The following experience is must have:
o D2C / E-commerce
o Brand building experience through partnerships
o Community building experience
• Have excellent communication skills – written and spoken – an ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly
• Be analytical and organised; proficient with analysing and interpreting data, especially when it comes to monitoring and reporting on KPIs.
• Be a creative and strategic thinker as you will develop and own Oddbox’s marketing strategy
• Have a positive attitude, particularly to new tasks and problem solving.
• Be very driven and have an entrepreneurial spirit, not letting anything dampen your energy and learning from mistakes to push through to achieve results.
• Be self-motivated and incredibly well organised.
• Be a real team-player, and be happy to work in a cross-functional team.
• Ideally know how to use of Google Analytics and other marketing analytics tools
