In Nov 2015, NUMA launched in Bengaluru in order to kickstart its activity in India. Today, NUMA Bengaluru is an Innovation and learning hub supporting large corporate and tech startups in their innovation journey through three main programs :

1. Acceleration/Incubation programs accross India for early stage startups
2. Corporate innovation
3. Community structuration and outreach through events and coworking facilities

We are looking for our Business Development Manager with 2-3 years of experience to join the Corporate Innovation team, starting July 2019.


NUMA helps public and private companies think and act like entrepreneurs to develop the skills, the mindset and the network they need to stay ahead of the competition.

Working with us, corporations build and accelerate startups inside or outside their organizations, collaborate with a network of entrepreneurs through Open Innovation programs and give their employees the opportunity to design better services for their customers

We make this possible through various offers :

- Trainings and learning expeditions : We train corporate teams to design thinking, lean startup, UX design in order for them to better innovate internally. We also organise learning expeditions in Bangalore ecosystem to help corporates understand the particularity of Indian innovation.
- Intrapreneurship programs and bootcamps : We design acceleration programs for corporate teams who want to develop a new project internally, using startup methodologies.
- Corporate events : We organize and curate events to help corporates get a finger on the pulse of the ecosystem and meet more easily startups in their field of interest.
- Open Innovation : We design programs where startups and corporations innovate together to solve a common challenge.


You will work with the Corporate Relations Head. You will have to create and apply an effective sales strategy. Your goal will be to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales of NUMA offers (consulting, training, coaching) and forging strong relationships with Indian and International corporate clients.

Your main missions :

> Design your sales strategy according to the company objectives :

- Analyse the sector and competition in order to draw a realistic diagnosis of the market
- Qualify your targets : companies and key point of contact.

> Constantly increase the revenue by closing new accounts as well as existing clients :

- Source targeted companies and develop new business : opening of new client accounts and/or upsales
- Present the entire offer catalogue and value proposition
- Co create program propositions along with the internal experts of NUMA (Service Designer or Acceleration Director) according to the qualified needs of the client lead
- Coordinate the sales efforts : organise the pre sales efforts with the internal experts at NUMA and the client lead
- Negotiate and close.

> Report on your activity

- Document all your activities in our CRM : new client contacts and opportunities.
- Program new sales activities with the CRM .


- With a BSc/BA/Masters in business administration, sales or relevant field (or relevant experience), you already have a significant experience (2-3 years) in selling B2B complex services, if possible in the consulting or training sectors with a proven sales track record.
- You have a good knowledge of the corporate sector in India.
- You are proficient in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Zoho) and relevant tools related to BizDev
- Proficient in English, you show strong communication and negotiation skills
- You are enthusiastic, energetic and flexible; you are eager to work in a company experiencing high growth and in constant evolution.
- Very proactive, you like being autonomous in your day-to-day missions.
- Dynamic and combative, you are a real team-player as well as a “fierce hunter”.
- You have a real sense of customer care and show undeniable interpersonal skills.
