Software Engineer – MRI Patient Feedback

Patient motion represents one of the greatest obstacles to collecting high-quality brain MRIs faster. The National Institute of Mental Health has identified that visual biofeedback to reduce head motion during brain MRI scans has the potential to minimize, or eliminate, this most common cause of imaging artifacts. Nous Imaging is ready to disrupt the status quo with a first-of-its-kind application for providing real-time quality patient feedback during an MRI and has been awarded a substantial research grant to do so.
As the Senior Engineer to design this biofeedback software system, you will be joining an early stage University spin-out as an entrepreneur and leader. You will be the driver for invention in human computer interaction using high-speed image processing.
You will work in a dynamic virtual environment with a high energy team of dedicated engineers, scientists, and clinicians to lead this effort to develop a new-to-the-world solution based on the research application known as FIRMM (Framewise Integrated Real-Time MRI Monitoring). Team members are based in St. Louis Missouri, Portland Oregon, and on the US East Coast. Nous Imaging is based in the Cortex district with an office in the CIC.
The position will perform UI/UX design and full-stack software development with, JavaScript, React, Redux, Flask, Python, and C++.
This is a full-time position.
