The Company:
Nexus Events is a quickly scaling start-up building a platform that fully virtualizes what happens at an in-person professional networking event. We have a virtual tradeshow and conference product with networking, booths and talks that creates an engaging social experience for attendees and provides an opportunity for effective lead generation for businesses.
Our founder is an engineering grad from Stanford, and helped to develop over 700 companies from the pre-seed to pre-IPO stage as the founder and CEO of StartX - a startup accelerator and founder community associated with Stanford University.
As a remote company operating from 5 countries, we understand remote work and are constantly investing in our team by encouraging autonomy, clear communication, and discipline. We've recently closed our seed round and are now scaling our product and preparing to launch 50+ conferences in the next few months.
Responsibilities:
Nexus Events is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Growth Marketing Manager to lead growth marketing and conversion rate optimization for our startup. In this cross-functional role, you’ll learn a lot and will have the chance to try new things on many different channels. In this role, optimization instincts, product savvy, and an analytical mindset are key to driving growth, engagement, and conversion.
Specifically, you will:
- Work cross functionally with Product, Services, and Sales to establish growth strategies to support Nexus Event’s revenue goals.
- Create, manage and experiment with new user acquisition campaigns.
- Identify replicable marketing strategies, tactics and channels that address business pain points and convey product benefits to drive new customer acquisition – with an implement, test, and measure mindset
- Manage all social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) and drive content creation.
- Manage SEO
- Analyze data to monitor revenue performance and uncover areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present recommendations, reports, and findings from experimental data all the way up to the executive level.
- Manage paid ad campaigns across search, display, social and retargeting networks by conducting extensive keyword research, analysis and testing of keyword performance
- Ensure successful campaigns managing bids and budgets to be able to meet the predefined KPI’s.
- Optimise campaigns across multiple channels to deliver the best return on investment
- Write content for marketing ads, campaigns and landing pages
- Test different value propositions and messages across different channels to find the best angle to introduce our product for each target group
- Build and run A/B tests across landing pages and the homepage

- Strong growth track record, with samples and results of past campaigns.
- Outstanding written, oral and organizational ability.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Google Analytics, Photoshop, Mailchimp, Hootsuite (or, other Social Media Management Systems)
- Proficient with Analytics.
- 3+ years’ experience in SEO, growth marketing.
- Understanding of statistics and ability to support hypotheses with data
- Preferred to have experience in Hotjar, Semrush, Hubspot and/or other similar tools within the growth stack
- At least 2+ years of professional experience doing mainly PPC-advertising either in an agency or in-house
- Business fluency in English
