The Company:
Nexus Events is a quickly scaling start-up building a platform that fully virtualizes what happens at an in-person professional networking event. We have a virtual tradeshow and conference product with networking, booths and talks that creates an engaging social experience for attendees and provides an opportunity for effective lead generation for businesses.
Our founder is an engineering grad from Stanford, and helped to develop over 700 companies from the pre-seed to pre-IPO stage as the founder and CEO of StartX - a startup accelerator and founder community associated with Stanford University.
As a remote company operating from 5 countries, we understand remote work and are constantly investing in our team by encouraging autonomy, clear communication, and discipline. We've recently closed our seed round and are now scaling our product and preparing to launch 50+ conferences in the next few months.
Responsibilities:
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with conference, tradeshow and mixer organizers in order to ensure a great user experience and help our organizers create amazing digital events for attendees. You will manage the relationship from sales to ensure a smooth on-boarding experience and set up customers for ongoing success, driving growth and customer evangelism. You will ensure prompt and effective resolution of questions, problems, and requests. Your communication and problem-solving skills will be essential.
Specifically, you will:
- Onboarding new conferences, tradeshows and mixers onto the platform and setting up their accounts
- Provide hands on technical support
- Troubleshooting and answering product questions
- Deliver a stellar customer experience
- Work in a quickly changing environment
- Understand customer needs and how to meet unique challenges and goals
- Tag team with the conference to help run the event on our platform. This includes advising them about about how to run the mixer, helping to invite attendees, on-boarding booths and other tasks
- Build and maintain ongoing relationships with complex stakeholders
- Seek product feedback and track usage/performance
- Drive referrals from your customers
- Partner with internal teams to drive long term solutions / product development decisions
- Contribute to customer facing documentation
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in customer success or highly client-facing roles
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent people skills to monitor and measure customer performance
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to customers and internal stakeholders
- Team player with a high level of integrity and desire to assist your team and customers
