We are looking for talented psychologists / psychometricians, who are experienced in their field where we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible with the latest affordable hardware & software technology. This is to help various specialists in diagnosing and provide intervention to children that could have many types of disabilities/abilities/challenges in disenfranchised/remote neighborhoods.
Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
- Designing and implementing research and analysis plans.
- Conducting classical and IRT item analysis, test scoring and equating, standard setting, and reliability and validity studies for large-scale testing programs.
- Developing and using psychometric tools to critically evaluate accuracy of results and decisions made during the operational scoring of tests.
- Help measurement services establishing foundations of assessments for standard setting activities.
- Identify and/or develop the way each test and question/task are scored.
- Analyze test and item-level results using appropriate methods. Equating, linking & scaling of tests.
- Work with content development to ensure that item pools meet the needs of the program.
- Help develop a plan that ensures that examination services comply with industry standards for security, validity, reliability, fairness and defensibility.
- Help develop an appropriate test design including mode of administration, test specifications, and pretest strategy.
- Developing programs using SAS or R to manipulate and merge large data files.
- Collecting and analyzing data gathered through various means (e.g., focus groups, surveys, extant databases).
- Writing technical reports and orally presenting project findings.
- Support documentation of software application.
- Develop quality assurance process.
Requirements:
- US Accredited/Certified in clinical psychology, quantitative psychology, or a closely related discipline. Cretified school psychologist is also more than welcome.
- Knowledge of psychometric measurement, including item response theory, equating, and differential item functioning.
- Knowledge of manipulating, merging, and cleaning large data files through user-written syntax, in for example SAS or R.
- A foundation in applied research design, test construction and validation, methodology and statistics (using SAS, R, and/or SPSS).
- The ability to ensure technical quality, meet deadlines, and adhere to budgets.
- Candidate should be willing to work on a variety of tasks and projects and possess a desire to learn and develop inventive methods that respond to client needs.
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Advanced attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Solid communication skills (written and verbal)
