We are looking to expand the business development team at Netcapital and are seeking people with a solid foundation in finance, investment banking, and sales who are passionate about entrepreneurship and helping entrepreneurs succeed.

We are looking for a highly motivated, focused and personable Business Development Associate who can build relationships with potential customers and decision makers within target industries to develop leads that turn into business opportunities. The Business Development Associate plays a critical role in growing our business. The focus of this position is to develop qualified prospects through cold calling and nurturing emails, as well as various marketing and social media programs, and coaching those leads through the Netcapital onboarding process.

● Develop targeted prospect lists and execute cold outreach to that audience
● Execute cold calls and email outreach at a high quality and volume
● Conduct needs qualification calls with prospects and answers initial questions related to working with us
● Direct qualified leads to netcapital.com to begin onboarding
● Nurture and manage leads until they are qualified and ready for compliance review
● Handoff to our compliance team and stay involved in the relationship throughout

● Experience conducting business and building relationships via phone & email, with excellent phone, interpersonal, verbal, and written capabilities
● Track record of high achievement and hitting goals - a hunter mentality
● A desire to work in a startup environment with the goal of advancing your career
● Excellent instincts for conversing with executives and ability to think on the fly
● Ability to manage and overcome objections
● Professional persistence and ability to “think on your feet”

● A highly self-driven sense of motivation and strong creative mind
● Ability to learn new technology quickly
● Ability to properly document and manage your successes and failures
● Experience successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously, maintaining a high-volume pace with the ability to “switch gears” quickly as the prospecting conversation warrants
