About the Position

Motiversity is looking for a Video Editor who has a passion for workout motivational videos, epic/emotional music and inspirational talks to join our Edmonton based team.

The Video Editor will work alongside our Content team, creating videos for our Motiversity YouTube channel and our new Workout Motivation channel that is launching soon! The position will also have crossover responsibilities with our other brands Motivation2Study and MotivationHub.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role will require you to:

Edit videos on topics such as: Workout Motivation, Bodybuilding Motivation, Running Motivation, OCR Racing, Crossfit, Parkour, Life Advice, Mindset, Success, and more
Listen to full length interviews and talks and pick out the parts that are most inspiring, informative and eye-opening
Find music and footage that goes with the speeches and interviews to leave a lasting impact on our audience
Edit the speech, music and footage together to create an inspiring video
Add creative text, titles and graphics
Create versions of the YouTube videos for our social media channels
Repurpose completed videos from our other channels to create new versions
Collaborate with our team to come up with content strategies
Continually analyze partner and industry videos to see what’s working
Organize and keep track of all video files

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro (Preferred) or Final Cut Pro
Experienced with Google Drive, Google Docs, and Microsoft Excel
Passionate about workout, gym, running, epic motivational content that pumps you up and gives you goosebumps when you listen to it.
Understand the key reasons on what makes these videos go viral
Musically inclined with the ability to match music with speeches and footage so well it can make you cry
Excellent organizational skills with a high level of self-discipline and ability to meet tight deadlines
Located in Edmonton (or the Edmonton Area) with the ability to work at our downtown location from a personal laptop/computer that has enough power to render, export and generally work with large project files.
Optional: Ability to work part-time remotely from home and from a personal computer/laptop
