Morning Brew is looking for a full-time Brand Partner - Finance to join our Brand Partnerships team (sits within the Revenue org). This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Brand Partnerships - Finance. Just so we're clear: we're not a coffee company.
Morning Brew is a New York City-based media company that’s disrupting the traditional business news landscape. While this position is based in New York City, all Brew employees are currently working remotely until further notice. Our goal is to make the business world more engaging for the modern business leader through relatable and digestible content. Plus, we’ve got some other cool stuff in the works.
Here’s what you’d be working on:This is an integral role that will sit within Morning Brew's Brand Partnerships team. Morning Brew's Brand Partners are a group of entrepreneurial hustlers that build truly consultative partnerships with brands and agencies, alike. We’re seeking a relentlessly motivated and proven seller who is ready to roll up their sleeves, think outside of the box, and get creative with branded partnerships and native ad campaigns. This role is perfect for some whose default setting is to take action, and who loves working towards (and beating) tangible and measurable revenue goals. This will be achieved through some combination of leveraging deep agency and/or brand connections as well as pounding the pavement and introducing the Brew to a wide array of brands and advertisers. This is not a typical sales role. Just as we provide the best daily business experience to our readers, we work tirelessly to understand the marketing goals of our advertisers, and develop creative and tailored campaigns that WOW our brand partners without jeopardizing the quality of our voice and brand.
Qualifications:- Significant professional digital or integrated media sales experience (6+ years of media experience; 3+ years of direct media sales experience)- History of meeting and exceeding sales quotas as a result of the sale of complex deals.- Strong foundation of deep/meaningful client (brand and agency) relationships. You will be expected to quickly initiative quality conversations, RFP inclusion and/or other immediate revenue-generating opportunities.- Thorough understanding of the full sales cycle and digital media operations. This includes researching, prospecting, outreach, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.- Ability to lead and close an RFP process, creating tailored partner proposals that include: native digital content, audio integrations, long-form content, social media & virtual event sponsorships.- Forecast, track and report on sales performance, meeting quarterly targets set by management.- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Creativity is also a must.- Passion for and belief in Morning Brew, its mission and its franchises and products.
