As a DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to the definition of game features to ensure sustainable, secure, and cost-effective operations. You will also help drive continual improvements to our engineering standards, practices, and tools.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Oversight of all server environments, from dev through production.
Work closely with developers to drive live title release, deployment practices and processes.
Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to engineering scope and consistent bias to action.
Setup/use monitoring tools to find problems and resolve and/or escalate to development.
Communicate with developers, product managers and technical support specialists on product issues.
Assist in Creating and maintaining Configuration and Change Management Plan for the project.
Assist in setting up Configuration Management Environment.
Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
Your background and skills:
2 – 8 years in DevOps engineering and/or software engineering.
Strong Experience in Cloud Technology: AWS
Programming skills: Good programming skills (Python/Go/Node). This role will require the ability to understand others' code and to write your own for some automation tasks.
Operating Systems: Experience in the Linux environment and a good understanding of its fundamentals.
Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment: Strong experience in build/release processes in a large scale deployment.
Configuration management: Puppet, Chef, etc.
Data stores: Experience with a non relational database (Mongo, Couchbase) and cache layers (memcached, Redis).
Networking: Good working knowledge of TCP/IP.
