Supply Chain Operations

Moon Pod makes delightful products that help people relax. We run lean, and have been profitable since day 1. We’re growing rapidly, and looking for someone to help lead our Operations team.

This person will report to the Head of Operations, and also work closely with the CEO. You will be asked to hit the ground running and work efficiently in our fast paced environment. You will have the opportunity to be a foundational part of building this explosive company pushing the boundaries of how a D2C company operates.

The position is based in New York City.

Qualifications & Attributes:
-Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years experience in a Supply Chain role.
-Self-starter. You identify a problem before being told about it and solve it without being asked.
-Unlimited mental horsepower. Razor sharp analytically.
-Perfectionist, with an appreciation for doing things quickly.
-You want to help build a $100M+ relaxation brand from the ground floor.
-The idea of not having a boss or investors excites you, you will be expected to call the shots.
-You communicate with Excel and Google Sheets and barely need a mouse to do so.
-Bring fresh, innovative and out-of-the box approaches to help us solve meet our needs

Responsibilities:
-Inventory Management
-Develop our inventory management system. Research applications and best-practices. Decide best way to manage and forecast inventory. Implement it.
-Ensure that we are never backordered without taking on too much inventory.

Web
-Manage order fulfillment through Shopify and on our 3PL order fulfillment system.
-Manage ongoing updates to our website involving operations including new product launches, returns policies and FAQs.

Fulfillment
-Manage relationship with fulfillment center in New Jersey. Onsite visits. -Monitor and help answer daily questions from fulfillment center. Comfortable negotiating rates and contracts with this vendor.
-Analyze shipping rates and delivery times. Lead negotiations with couriers on shipping rates. Decide on best shipping methods and implement.
-Review monthly invoice from couriers and fulfillment center to make sure that everything is in line.

Financial
-Own COGS and drive them down for Moon Pod. Build out COGS for new product launches, and hit our targets.
-Review monthly financials and oversee relationship with third party accountant.
-Review, manage and pay invoices to third parties.
-Help develop budgets and oversee all costs.

Product Development:
-Work with manufacturing vendors to bring new designs to a secure and robust supply chain for each new product launch - help bring products and designs through the supply chain efficiently
-Understand costs restrictions of new product lines and guide best practices regarding shipping and manufacturing process.
-Set up the shipping and return process for each new product.
-Provide support to product team in getting all legal requirements set with product (labels, tests, etc).
