We’re a lifestyle brand that aims to foster innovation, trade, and development by carefully curating consumer lifestyle products, created by local designers across the continent.

Our mission is to reintroduce indigenously-made lifestyle products from the continent, to permeate the contemporary quotidian lifestyle of consumers globally.

We are seeking an experienced and professional Operations Specialist with excellent leadership skills and initiative to join our fast-growing remote team. The ideal candidate is passionate about optimizing day-to-day activities in the workplace and is a go-getter with intrepreneurial spirit.


The Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing a diverse portfolio of cross-functional operational initiatives. This position will work with internal and external partners to address issues and concerns and continually look for ways to improve the processes and systems. This position will also work with the Director to develop an operational strategy and long-term planning.


- Manage the day-to-day needs of e-Commerce operations to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction, adherence to standard operating procedures, and high-efficient completion of tasks.
- Manage vendor onboarding and coordination
- Source for the best most effective logistics partners
- Oversee product deliveries and manage issues
- Propose vendor management tools and onboarding strategies suitable for the unique African market.
- Define and drive operational projects to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver improved processes and site enhancements that are both efficient and cost-effective.
- Analyze and track performance metrics to continuously improve the e-commerce business
- Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.
- Demonstrate MonAfrique’s values in the performance of all job functions.
- Interact with vendors to ensure existing and prospective customer needs are understood and met.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a large workforce.
- Foster an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong work ethic with the ability to demand more than the status quo.
- Identify and seize profitable business opportunities and operational improvements.
- Negotiate rates with agents and customers taking into consideration market, capacity and location when considering and agreeing to price for service.
- Work to support the service and growth of new and existing accounts.
- Resolve customer service issues that arise.


- 3+ years of experience as an Operations Professional or in a similar role with multivendor stores
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and overall operations management
- Skilled in operations and logistics for e-Commerce marketplaces
- Vendors coordination and management experience
- Familiarity or experience in logistics and multivendor/marketplace stores in Africa
- Experience in business and financial principles, including budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field a bonus
- Strong project management and creative thinking
