The problem area
The long term goal is to build a platform for retirees to discover and explore activities, new hobbies and communities to get involved in during their retirement. As we age having a community to rely on is key to ensure we can age in place in our own home. This is a demographic vulnerable to social isolation and this is what we're solving for.
During the pandemic, the go-to-market strategy has pivoted to host and moderate discussion groups for lifelong learners. The goal is to enable meaningful social interactions with minimal friction.
The founding team
Maria Athena an Imperial College London grad with experience leading data, product and strategy at early stage startups. I'm currently working on a proof of concept before starting to reach out to my network of investors.
I'm looking for 1-2 cofounders to join me on this journey. You don't necessarily have to have a technical background as goal is to find a good match, meaning a counterweight to possible blind spots, and a genuine co-collaborator.
Ideally you're someone who shares my passion for the health and wellness of older adults, and about building products accessible to this demographic.
Equity will be split evenly between co-founders. Minimal salary is expected to be taken out until agreed levels of fundraising have been completed.
