MobyDish (YC W15) is a catering marketplace that allows anyone to order family-style food from top-rated local restaurants for any group size in less than 5 minutes. We’re changing the catering industry by putting more power in the hands of the customer. Our technology lets us provide the simplest and tastiest catering experience for any event of any size - from large corporate luncheons to family gatherings - with no hassle. Our mission is to connect people and make them happy thanks to delicious and seamless food experiences and our current targeted customer is B2B. We're a team of foodies, obsessed with customer experience and care for our partners and each other. But our passion for people doesn't mean we don't understand technology. We're looking for more automation and efficiency in everything we're doing and building our technology accordingly.

As of today, we're still the only catering marketplace in the US to control the entire customer experience, from ordering to delivering using our proprietary technology with enormous opportunities to scale. We’ve grown a profitable business and are now ready to take it to the next level, starting with the USA, and we’re looking for the right fit to take this responsibility and execute the right way.

Responsibilities

  • Define and iterate on the entire Mobydish experience and adapt it for each market. Maintain and update our extensive playbook to create a consistent experience
  • Translate the Mobydish experience into measurable KPIs nationally
  • Implement monitoring tools, processes and train teams to report on KPIs to track
  • Create, Implement and iterate processes cross markets to reach market goals
  • Train new hires on Mobydish values and on existing market/company wide processes
  • Travel across our existing US markets to monitor the Mobydish experience provided and retrain teams when necessary
  • Mentor and manage Area Managers and Operations Managers on how to keep up with tools, processes, customer experience, and on being good leaders
  • Research new tools/software to implement nationally to take Mobydish to the next level, streamline communication + processes across market
  • Create, improve on-boarding and online/offline training materials
  • Work directly with CEO to execute on new market launches
  • Report to the CEO on KPIs/customer satisfaction nationally

Must have:

  • A passion for building and scaling startups
  • A drive for training new people
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills to create materials and SOPs
  • Have strong people values to inspire teams and GMs to care about the experience we provide
  • Be hungry for travel and explore cities and markets Moby is into and interested in launching into
  • Be open minded to collect feedback nationally, from customers and teams and improve company processes
  • Be tech savvy to find new tools to use and implement when needed
  • A tracking record of having built/scaled/organized a department/company that was operations heavy
  • A natural interest for data collection and interpretation to highlight company trends, evolution and performance
  • Ability to be hands on and get those hands dirty if necessary to grow
  • An interest in food, delivery, technology, catering, hospitality
  • Ability to creatively come up with and execute on strategic initiatives while keeping in mind contribution margins and health of the business
