Data Technician - All Levels

MiningStore is a U.S. based mining company that has been mining cryptocurrencies for over six years. Beginning with a 300 GPU setup and mining over 500 Ethereum per day, we’ve seen the industry develop and quickly weed out inefficient and expensive mining operations. The result of 2018’s bear-market was an opportunity to analyze and fortify our mining strategy, leading us to redirect our infrastructure towards mobilized deployments, allowing us to seek out extremely low-cost stranded or excess energy. Since our first mobile mining container deployment in December of 2018, we’ve established strong partnerships with North American utility providers and are actively deploying infrastructure to various power sites.

We are looking to hire Ten (10) Data Center Technicians to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure in Buffalo, NY.

The ideal candidate will be competent in the existing landscape of network technologies, and exhibit the ability to adapt to change, as well as remain current on developing technologies. An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting of both client and internal networks.

Qualified candidates will have a background in IT, Systems Engineering Manager, and/or network administration. This is an exciting company that is experiencing amazing growth. You must be within a 30 minute driving range from the site.

In this role you will be working with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment ensuring high uptime and services for our clients.

This includes:

• Performing daily maintenance on computing systems and facilities
• Basic structural cabling
• Basic networking troubleshooting and installing
• Ensuring a clean, presentable environment for our customers
• Resetting, organizing, and racking computer equipment
• Monitoring systems for issues and responding to issues
• Installing and turning new systems online
• Receiving and shipping equipment

Qualifications:
• Has a strong understanding of the 7 layers of networking
• Working knowledge of computers including:
• Operating Systems
• Web Browsers
• Basic networking knowledge
• Curiosity and drive to learn about Information Technology and computers
• Some knowledge or interest in learning more about Bitcoin mining
• Ability to be on your feet for 7+ hours per day in a warehouse environment
