MicroTraffic is a Smart City company that uses computer vision to measure near-misses at intersections, producing precise diagnostic data that helps cities, states, and counties to build credible and effective road safety programs. Our product is in-market and has influenced more than $200M in road safety decisions. We use 3 to 7 days of video from almost any kind of camera to produce an intersection risk profile.

We raised a seed round in 2019 and have (or are currently testing) our MVP with 30 customers such as Los Angeles, Montreal, Detroit, and New Jersey. We are seeking a senior software engineer / full stack python developer to help transform our software from an MVP tool into an enterprise, fully automated, world class product as we work towards a Series A financing in late 2020.

The candidate will bring full stack development capabilities to a team that includes 2 world-class computer vision / AI engineers. The candidate, will focus on the overall application environment, focusing on an efficient and increasingly automated process for turning video into diagnostic data and serving that data to the client.

The candidate should have the following profile:

• Languages: Python, JavaScript

• Distributed cloud / elastic computing for data-intense and computationally-intense applications

• Integration of deep technologies with database architectures and reporting / business intelligence tools

• Machine learning / AI / computer vision would be interesting but is not necessary. We have two AI research scientists / engineers specialized in computer vision.

• Track record in senior development role building world class product, such as working closely with product management team and developing responsive architectures and development roadmaps.

• Track record managing or working with agile sprints, code reviews, etc for extraordinary, fast paced results

• Comfortable in environments making bold / breakthrough product development commitments under conditions of high uncertainty

• Past participation in highly successful startups is highly desirable.

* A computer engineering or computer science degree is preferred and 3 years of experience is mandatory.
