What drives you:

Obsessed with building high performance, beautiful, and easy to use interfaces

Collaborate with the director of product to design a beautiful, intuitive interface. This includes white boarding, wire-framing, and learning from users directly. Our goal is to revolutionize the professional chef’s recipe management experience and you will play a key role in that process.
Own the KPIs for the product and features you develop. This role comes with tremendous flexibility, which requires a strong understanding and adherence to best practices including testing, quality assurance, and performance analysis.

A pragmatic approach to engineering, with both strong opinions on engineering process and the flexibility to operate effectively with a variety of workflows
Experience working with restful services at scale
Experience with AWS hosted services
Experience with scalable secure infrastructure implementation

Our Stack:

The front end of Meez Web App is built in ReactJS, using the Max Stoiber’s React Boilerplate as the foundation. Some factors in that decision to use ReactJS include the ability to quickly deploy a highly responsive interface, offer a certain degree of offline functionality, access cutting edge tools and workflows, and facilitate the implementation of mobile apps in React Native further down the line. The Mobile App is build in React Native.

The back end is built with Django and Django Rest Framework serving content out of a PostGreSQL database. Most of the hosting and functionality for the system is built on Amazon’s system of services. Other tools and services we use in our workflow include Github, Asana, CircleCI, Slack, AWS, Sentry, Dependabot, and Google Apps.

Commitment:
Full Time (Part Time can be discussed based on relationship)
Based out of New York City

Compensation:
Since the team is so small, we're exclusively looking for top-tier talent. Our compensation package reflects that of any ambitious startup, which includes a competitive salary, substantial stock options, unlimited PTO, flexible work schedule, healthcare, an equipment budget and the food related perks that come with working in the restaurant industry.
