Our engineering team is growing and we are looking for a Director of Engineering who’s passionate about the healthcare and healthtech space with the desire to make an impact and help us achieve our patient-centric vision.

Your overall mission:
As a leader in the engineering organization, the Director of Engineering will lead the teams responsible for our state-of-the-art products that make prescriptions affordable and accessible for our patients. As we’re aggressively expanding our nationwide presence now launching into the health and wellness space, this role is fueled by rapid growth and a dedication to scalability. You will head up our high-performing and talented team by spearheading our highly complex projects, streamlining communication across stakeholders and ensuring consistency as we continue to scale - with an awesome can-do attitude because you think big, embody a bias-for-action and have exceptional and proven experience.

What you’ll do:

• Build and grow our exceptional and diverse team of SDMs / engineers who focus on application engineering efforts, acting as a catalyst for change
• Provide support, mentorship, and career development across our teams setting both the vision and culture as we continue to scale
• Recruit the best engineering talent by promoting Medly’s tech culture and continuously working to improve the interview process
• Influence key decisions on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions
• Develop organizational-level goals, drive the technical and organizational roadmap for the engineering team
• Creatively problem-solve each day using data as your guide

What you’ll need:

• 6+ years of software development experience
• 2+ or more years of people leadership experience – specifically managing managers
• Strong sense of vision-setting and passion for growing teams
• Experience working as part of a cross-functional team
• Proven ability to align and implement strategy in a fast-paced environment
• Inquisitive, creative and analytical mindset
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to adapt to change quickly
• Healthcare experience a plus
