As an electrical/embedded systems engineer at MedicaSafe, you will be responsible for developing firmware and integrating electronics with mechanical systems. You will work with a team of software engineers, mechanical engineers, designers, research coordinators, and healthcare professionals to help carry our products through to production.


- Develop firmware, including peripheral drivers, communication protocols, mechanical control & feedback, and embedded UI
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary product team
- PCB bringup, testing
- Coordinate external resources & suppliers
- Expand and improve the team’s capabilities, processes and expertise

Key Qualifications:

- BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field
- 9+ years of experience
- Experience with Nordic nRF5xxxx
- Extensive experience programming in C
- Experience working on medical devices within design controls
- Deep understanding of techniques as they are applicable to development of embedded system software, e.g. state machine design, control system design, organization of hardware abstraction layer, etc
- Experience working in an electronics lab environment
- Familiarity with electronics tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
- Willingness to thoroughly document work performed
- Commitment to test-driven development

Additional Qualifications (nice-to-haves):

- Familiarity with cellular modem and AT commands
- MS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field
- Experience with medical product design, including FDA 510(k) submissions
- Experience working with ISO 13485 contract manufacturers
- Experience with Autodesk EAGLE
- Experience launching consumer electronic devices
- Experience using Git for version control
