The Role
Mav Farm is a technology company headquartered in Los Angeles, California with a remote and distributed team, that designs and develops enterprise and consumer media, commerce, and financial software and services. We provide tools for artists, creators, app developers, and businesses to collaborate with one another to captivate audiences and human-machines in creative, engaging, and unobtrusive ways - that is, sans advertising. These creators are building media companies, brands and retail companies, tech companies, and all of the above together with Mav Farm. Mav Farm considers itself part e-commerce platform, part entertainment app, part business tool, part financial solution, and part social network, meeting multifaceted creator and audience needs through distinct yet synergistic features.
Mav Farm was founded with the goal of a fully decentralized peer-to-peer art, media and trade network - that is, to provide artists, creators, organizations and businesses access to and complete control of the universal decentralized distribution of their art, media and commerce.
There are over 600k users watching and shopping from over 500 of their favorite creators, cultural influencers, and brands. Not only is Mav Farm helping creators and businesses earn more for their efforts, but is also helping their audiences find new people, brands, and stories to engage with in unique and uncompromising ways.
In this role, you will work on core algorithms in the iOS and Android camera platform to fundamentally improve the photography and cinematography experience. This covers both the improvements of the image quality and creating new computational photography features. You will develop the end-to-end solution, including algorithm design, implementation, quality evaluation, performance optimization to the final deployment.
You will work with software engineers, researchers, and image scientists across Mav Farm to push the performance of the modern mobile imaging system, commercialize new features, and develop the architecture for the future products. You will demonstrate leadership in driving the project forward.
Responsibilities
- Develop the new algorithms to improve the image/video quality (SNR, color reproduction, stabilization, facial enhancements) or enable new photography features.
- Optimize and integrate the solution into Sho_w. and other Mav Farm products.
- Collaborate hardware to design the pipeline architecture to enable new features.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters degree and 4 years of experience, or PhD in EE/CS.
- Experience in computer vision/machine learning, image processing, or computer graphics
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in computational photography algorithm or ISP (3A and image restoration/enhancement algorithms) development.
- Experience in GPU or Halide programming.
- Experience in color science or subjective image quality assessment.
- Excellent communication skills.
