Marina Vape is seeking a Director of Marketing & Digital Content to lead creation, strategy and execution of our digital content calendar. This person will make sure all of our direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels share and tell a consistent brand story with targeted messaging and call-to-actions when needed. S/He will also help create effective, innovative marketing programs to drive various business objectives including increasing customer awareness, engagement, acquisition and retention. Focus will be on executing a regular cadence of campaigns across our DTC channels while also ensuring our below-the-line (BTL) channels carry through our brand campaigns and messages from our above-the-line (ATL) efforts.

In this role, you will leverage your marketing experience, project management skills and business savvy to deliver on campaigns, projects, deadlines and goals for the DTC marketing group. Success in this role requires a sound understanding of digital marketing tactics and knowing how creative content, storytelling and consistency help drive effective and efficient results in direct-to-consumer initiatives. This is also a highly cross-functional role and the ability to understand, communicate, negotiate and persuade various groups and key stakeholders to prioritize, collaborate and deliver timely work is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a balanced blend of creativity and business/marketing savvy. Specific job duties include:

Leads and manages the overall DTC marketing calendar in collaboration with the team, including creating a regular cadence of campaigns, innovative evergreen marketing programs and ensuring brand, product and marketing messages are consistent across channels yet relevant across a variety of segments
Leverage this same content and messaging for distribution to other Marina Vape teams in order to keep messaging consistent and reinforce our global brand and mission objectives
Drive or help to develop similar campaigns, programs, content and messaging in our international markets
Serve as a trusted content digital marketing advisor to cross-functional and international teams and key stakeholders
In conjunction with DTC marketing teams develop, maintain, and drive prioritization of overall major DTC marketing activities
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, leaders and business unit partners to execute and drive deliverables
Innovate and test various content and message approaches in order to drive consumer marketing initiatives as well as our reinforce and educate Marina Vape’s mission among consumers
Maintain and document the various systems to ensure proper usage and workflows
Identify inefficiencies and present solutions
Work closely with compliance and risk teams to ensure materials and system processes are compliant and meet regulatory expectations in addition to brand standards and guidelines
Partner with internal creative partners, external agency partners, and other vendors on projects, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, as needed
Manage and mentor a small team of direct reports but more importantly direct other cross-functional team members who will look to this role for guidance and leadership

8-10 years of related experience in marketing, with a focus on campaign execution, consumer marketing or content marketing
3-5 years of management experience leading and mentoring high-performing individuals
Keen understanding of how numbers and creative work together to drive optimal marketing strategies and execution
Familiarity with digital or integrated marketing required
Experience in an industry or at a company with heavy consumer retail, CPG or ecommerce preferred. Familiarity with a regulated industry preferred but not required.
Proven project management and problem-solving skills
Proven experience influencing and persuading others while remaining collaborative and inclusive
High flexibility, adaptability and the ability to thrive despite ambiguity
Global and international experience welcomed
High level of proficiency in Google Suite, iOS applications or Microsoft Office

Bachelor’s degree in related field from a top-tier institution

The ideal candidate will possess the comfort and enthusiasm to roll
up their sleeves to get a job done, while also the maturity, confidence and ease to present to executive/senior leadership or mentor/direct a team member when needed
Understanding of integrated marketing communications strategies and tactics
Strong persuasive skills and ability to gain consensus through the influence
Ability to take initiative, prioritize, collaborate and manage multiple tasks
Proven success in leading and managing people within a fast-paced environment
