Maps are no longer static. Our maps represent the ever-evolving world, accessing, aggregating, and adapting anonymous data from millions of sensors and phones in real-time. Mapbox has the exciting opportunity to power devices and products across the next frontier in location-based data, such as Internet of Things and AR/VR.
Whether you’re watching the delivery of your grocery order on Instacart, looking at a gym on ClassPass, sending your snaps on Snapchat, tracking your personal best on Strava, monitoring your gas budget on Metromile, or checking today’s forecast on The Weather Channel, Mapbox is the location and maps within those apps. We’re changing how people move by live-mapping the world. We are the developer platform for location.
What You'll Do
30 Days
* Complete Mapbox’s sales onboarding program where you will learn the essential parts of the Mapbox platform and how to properly qualify, source and engage cold prospects
* Work directly with an SDR mentor, reaching out to prospects together and shadowing their work
* Comfortable getting on the phone with executives, developers, or anyone that Mapbox sells to
60 Days
* Partner with your vertical team to set strategy for your assigned strategic accounts
* Strengthen your product and industry knowledge through continued training
* 1:1 coaching with your manager and mentor to understand how Mapbox addresses prospects biggest priorities
90 Days
* Successfully ramped and up to speed on the sales process
* Able to mentor new hires and contribute to the collective growth of teammates
* Set goals with your manager and discuss your career path at Mapbox
What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role
* 0-1+ years prior sales experience within a SaaS/High Tech company
* Proven ability to deliver results in past endeavors and understand your success
* Eager to win
* Display ownership of your role/responsibilities
* Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks to stay proactive and achieve goals
* Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change
* Excellent communication skills in writing, listening, and emotional intelligence
* Able to express a genuine curiosity to learning from people you talk to
* Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
* Technical aptitude is a plus
