Maker’s Row is an online marketplace that connects brands to manufactures in the US. Since our launch in 2012 we have been building a strong community of early stage startups which has led to the creation of Embark.live; a content driven marketplace that connects start-ups with business category experts.

As we focus on the next growth phases of Embark.live, we are looking for a results-driven growth marketing manager to head our marketing team. The ideal candidate will know how to set growth priorities, identify channels for customer acquisition, measure success, and scale growth. They will bring passion and energy to everything they do and be flexible and comfortable in a face-paced environment.

We are a tight-knit team where individual contributions play a vital role in shaping our community daily. We are looking for leaders with drive, creativity, and a strong belief in teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain oversight on social media presence and ad campaigns
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with team members to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
  • Collaborate with community and other platform partners to increase user adoption and conversion
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Provide leadership and encourage growth of marketing team members

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in marketing, communications or a related field 5-7 years proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (i.e Google Analytics, Profitwell, Oribi, etc)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Aggressive team and business builder with compassion
  • Experience with driving rapid growth and marketplace adaption
  • Results-driven mentality and tangible goal-oriented management style
  • Highly-organized and enjoys implementing task infrastructure
