As part of the Brand team, you will work with creative leadership and key cross-functional partners to deliver our product/brand story and services to the world through our guest suites, websites, apps, and events. You will collaborate daily with a diverse set of specialists from strategists, hospitality specialists, decorators, local in-market artists, marketers and PR specialists, project managers, writers and engineers to deliver delightful guest experiences. At the core of all of this is knowing our guest, and the entire experience begins and ends with that goal.

Challenge

* Develop creative using a proven ability in the areas of narrative, conceptual (crafting stories and building brands) and graphic design (typography, layout and how it extends across digital)
* Execute against several work-streams in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and deliver strategically sound, conceptually based, iconic experiences
* Drive projects from start to finish, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Customer Experience Ops, and Field Ops
* Help build and develop the visual and verbal framework for the Lyric brand
* Contribute strategically to the development of brand/product identities and create aesthetically excellent work that is true to the Lyric brand spirit
* Work with external agencies (design, local artists, production and manufacturing vendors etc.), managing creative work-streams, including providing constructive feedback, managing creative approvals, and insisting on visually stunning and on-brand output
* Lead the design of assets and executions for brand, In-Room, and packaging needs
* Collaborate with other designers and writers to develop programming/seasonal design assets for logos/lock Ups, tags, labels, style guides, presentations, In-Room and specialty packaging, environmental/signage, promotional materials, PR lookbooks etc.
* Lead the design and oversee creation of key presentations, guidelines and frameworks
* Research creative trends in competitive markets and apply that knowledge to the development of guest experience projects
* Maintain brand and typographic consistency across materials and brand channels
* Develop photo style guide, and help define, develop and direct lifestyle, and still life photography

Foundation

* BA/BS degree in Graphic Design or equivalent practical experience
* 7-10 years of experience in a Visual Design-related field at a design/interactive/branding agency or in-house team
* A portfolio of brand-defining websites, apps and artifacts, identities, etc. Including illustration and visualizations for print, on-screen graphic design, and environmental experiences
* Demonstrated experience with Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other design tools
* Previous experience with fashion, lifestyle or hospitality brands preferred
* Outstanding typographic and graphic design, brand identity and digital experience; experience with packaging design and familiarity with design turnover specifications
* Must be highly motivated and independent; an enthusiastic team player with a proven ability to provide fresh, "out-of-the-box" solutions
* Must have the communication skills necessary to function and collaborate productively in large interdisciplinary teams that include creative leads, merchandising, marketing, product design, graphic design and visual merchandising teams
* Strong ability to multi-task, work under pressure, manage time efficiently to meet all project deadlines
* You see design as problem solving

Interview

* Discovery call with talent insider to describe the role and answer initial queries
* Conversation with our Design Director to calibrate around alignment of role to candidate’s desired career path, as well as cultural compatibility.
