LUS Brands is one of the fastest growing DTC brands in North America. Backed by Y Combinator, Sound Ventures, Comcast Ventures (and others), we are now looking to add a passionate Senior Data Analyst with a deep understanding of online consumer shopping behavior to our team.

We have partnered with another YC-backed company who has cleaned and warehoused all of our data. You will be expected to learn and utilize their data science operating system in order to write queries and run reports for LUS. You will be answering everything from basic, day-to-day questions to more complex ones that may take 2-4 weeks to build out.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience making decisions with data in a fast-paced environment. Engineering background/education preferred.

The Role

• You will be responsible for identifying decisions worth making with data, framing them (everything from designing metrics to calling the shots on statistical assumptions), and determining the required level of analytical rigor based on potential impact on the business.

• Methodical, rational, and logical analyst who thinks of everything from start-to-finish in the decision making process.

• Your main objective will be to help the sales, marketing, and operations teams make more intelligent, data-driven decisions. You’ll help us uncover answers to questions regarding paid advertising attribution and optimization, consumer buying behavior, purchase cycles and patterns, and everything else that falls under the e-commerce umbrella

• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Ops and Marketing teams to follow up on any actions taken from your recommendations to ensure expected outcome(s).

Skills and Credentials

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• 5+ years in a similar senior data analysis and decision-making role, preferably in the D2C e-commerce space.
• A methodical, detail-oriented and audit-ready mindset.
• Experience dealing with complex online revenue attribution models.
• Skilled in predictive modelling for seasonality, purchase patterns, and other trends.
• Technical understanding of Google Adwords, Facebook Ads & Analytics, Email Marketing and Automation, CRM, Advanced SQL, MS Excel, and data visualization systems (including being able to build dynamic dashboards).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to break down technical things to non-technical people.
• Inherently passionate about digging through various data sources, organizing data, and discovering opportunities for improvement, cost-savings, and/or growth.
